[besiege Wei to rescure Zhao—relieve the besieged by besieging the base of the besiegers] 戰(zhàn)國時,魏國圍攻趙國都城,趙國向齊國求救,齊國乘魏國空虛,發(fā)兵攻魏,魏軍回救本國,齊軍乘其疲憊,在桂陵(今山東菏澤)大敗魏軍,趙國因而解圍。后來用“圍魏救趙”來指類似的作戰(zhàn)方法
